The Area

The property is between the villages of Rockton and Roscoe. They have an excellent school system with a middle school within walking distance of the house. The house is set back from the road and is not visible to passing cars. There are a total of five houses in the woods and all have a minimum of five acres. Neighbors are dog friendly and all the properties are zoned AG1. 

I90 /39 is about ten minutes away, providing easy access to Chicago to the SW,  Milwaukee to the NW or Madison, WI to the north.  Rockford, the nearest large town, has 170,000 people and is a fifteen minute ride away. However, there is growing shopping area in Machesney Park,  which is a ten minute ride. Movies, restaurants, shopping, etc. are all there.  Golf courses and state parks are nearby.  There is a great pet supply with high end dog food in Roscoe as well as a good grooming shop.  If you click and hold on the map at the bottom of the page, you can move the view to see where the location is in relation to Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison 

Our local vet is Dr. Chris Hart-Lizer at Animal Medical North. The clinic is ten minutes from the house but she does make house calls and will come out to vaccinate and do exams on all the dogs once a year.  She is very open to having a "partnership" with reputable breeder/exhibitors. 

We use a second clinic, Animal Hospital of Woodstock  in Woodstock, IL for reproduction issues, laser surgeries, hearing testing, OFA x-rays, etc. They are Drs. Jo and Jason Randall.

My kennel girl of six years is taking vet tech classes but still may be available to work for new owners. She is absolutely reliable, reputable and excellent with the dogs. She is a self starter who always follows directions but has common sense and initiative. She also sometimes will house sit.
